- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Open the deck lid and pull the trunk carpeting away from the back side of the lamp seat (3).
- Remove the two plastic wing-nuts (2) that secure the studs of the tail lamp (4) to the lamp seat.
- Reach below the lamp seat to locate, release and push out the two W-clips that secure the fascia bracket that is snapped onto the bottom of the lamp housing from the body sheet metal.
- Firmly grasp the exterior of the lamp and pull it sharply rearward far enough to unsnap the ball stud (1) from the grommet in the lamp seat.
- Disconnect the two body wire harness connectors from the Light Emitting Diode (LED) and the bulb socket connector receptacles on the back of the lamp housing.
- Unsnap the upper edge of the rear fascia from the rear fascia bracket on the bottom of the lamp.
- Rotate the top of the lamp downward to disengage the fascia bracket from under the rear fascia.
- Remove the lamp and rear fascia bracket from the vehicle as a unit.
