Recliner, Seat Back, Front: Removal: Removal

NOTE:

Convertible only, seat back is not removable from seat frame assembly.

WARNING:

Discard and replace the seat back bolts (2) with new bolts when servicing. Installing used bolts may result in the loosening of the seat back bolts after repair. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury.

  1. Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to SEAT, REMOVAL  - SEATS, FRONT SEDAN or SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL  - SEATS, FRONT CONVERTIBLE.
  2. Remove the seat cushion side shields. Refer to SIDE SHIELDS, SEAT CUSHION, FRONT, REMOVAL  - SEATS, FRONT SEDAN or SIDE SHIELDS, SEAT CUSHION, FRONT, REMOVAL  - SEATS, FRONT CONVERTIBLE.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove from the seat frame.
  4. Remove and discard the bolts (2).
  5. Remove the seat back assembly (1).
