Cover, Steering Column Opening: Removal: Removal

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the center console from the floor panel transmission tunnel. Refer to CONSOLE, CENTER, REMOVAL .
3. Remove the lower cowl trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, REMOVAL .
4. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the I/P end cap.
5. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the lower steering opening trim cover (2).
6. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, disengage the retaining clips on the lower steering opening trim cover (2) and remove.
