Glove Box, Instrument Panel: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the cowl trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the instrument panel end cap.
  4. Open glove box door (1).
  5. Detach and disconnect the glove box dampener tether from the glove box.
  6. Push in on sides of glove box bin and lower door.
  7. Pivot glove box (1) down and rearward to disengage hinge hooks from instrument panel.
  8. Remove the glove box door (1).

  9. Position the center console rearward approximately 25 mm (1 in.), refer to CONSOLE, CENTER, REMOVAL .
  10. Remove the push pin fasteners (2) securing the hush panel/silencer (1).
  11. Remove the hush panel/silencer(1).

  12. Remove the fasteners (2, 3, 4, 5), disconnect and remove the glove box module (1).
