Plate, Carrier: Removal: Removal

NOTE:

If replacing the carrier plate, transfer the power window motor, the window regulator, the door latch with power door lock actuator (if equipped), the inside door handle and cable, and manual door lock rod.

Remove the door trim panel. Refer to PANEL, REAR DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL .
Disconnect the door lock actuator electrical connector.
Disconnect the glass from the regulator by pushing the latch out of the hole in the glass. Refer to GLASS, DOOR, REMOVAL and GLASS, DOOR, STATIONARY, REMOVAL . Slide the glass up into the channel and apply tape to hold it out of the way.
Remove door latch fasteners (1) and rod link. Refer to LATCH, DOOR, REMOVAL .

Remove the eight carrier plate retaining screws (4) and slide the carrier plate (1) out slightly.
Remove the carrier plate (1) from the door (2).
