NOTE:

The hydraulic system uses ARAL VITAMOL ZH-M fluid. When replacing components or topping off system due to leak, make sure to use only approved fluid. When adding fluid, refer to ASSEMBLY, HYDRAULIC, MOTOR AND PUMP, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  1. Retract the top completely into the trunk.
  2. Remove the quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL .
  3. Place the decklid in the reverse position.

  4. Remove the clip retainer (2) from the cylinder (4) end attachment.
  5. Remove the clip retainer from the rod end attachment.

  6. At the hydraulic cylinder (3), slide the retaining clamp (2) off and pull out line (1).
  7. Remove the hall effect on the left cylinder. Refer to SWITCH, POWER TOP, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, CLOSED POSITION, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, DECK BAR CYLINDER POSITION, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, DECKLID LATCH LIMIT, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, HARD TOP PANEL LATCHED, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, HARD TOP PANEL UNLATCHED, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, HEADER LATCHED, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, HEADER UNLATCHED, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, LUGGAGE PROTECTOR POSITION, REMOVALSWITCH, POWER TOP, STACK CYLINDER POSITION, REMOVAL .
  8. Separate the cylinder from vehicle.
