Weatherstrip/Retainer Adjustment - In/Out

NOTE:

Adjustment procedures are the same for retainer and weatherstrip gaps. Adjusting the gaps of the retainer when installing sets a starting point for the weatherstrip adjustments.

  1. While lifting the lower lip of the weatherstrip outward to gain access the mounting fasteners, loosen all fasteners of the appropriate retainer.
  2. Install extra shims as needed to adjust the retainer outward.
  3. Remove shims as needed to adjust the retainer inward.
  4. Tighten the retainer fasteners and verify the correct gap.
  5. Close the top and verify proper sealing.
