Convertible Top, Convertible Soft Top Unique Components: Headliner: Removal: Removal

1. Position the Convertible Soft Top (CST) to the vertical position.
2. Remove the header (6) and side rail trim panels.
3. Release "J" strip at header and pull back headliner (2) to the first bow.
4. Release the remaining "J" strips at the # 1, 2 and 3 bows (5 and 4) and allow headliner to hang down.
5. Remove the screws securing the elastic straps to the rear panel.
6. Disconnect the elastic straps at the side rails.
7. Remove the fasteners mounting the headliner to the rear glass top panel.
8. Remove the push pin type retainers across the top of the backlite (3).
9. Disconnect the heated backlite electrical connectors.
10. Release the plastic retainers on the sides and top of the backlite.
11. Release the headliner lower retainer along the bottom edge of the backlite and remove the headliner.
