Assembly, Screw Drive: Removal: Removal

- Open decklid in the service position. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE

- Make sure the tonneau cover (2) is extended.
- Remove the tonneau cover motor mounting fasteners and remove the appropriate side screw drive cable from the motor.
- Remove the tonneau cover mounting fasteners (1) and remove the cover from the decklid (3).

- Remove the tonneau cover linkage mounting fasteners (2).
- Slide the linkage to release the retainer and remove the linkage from the decklid.

- Place the tonneau linkage on a bench.
- Using two pocket screwdrivers or similar flat bladed tools, disconnect the right and left control cables from the screw drive assemblies (5). Push screwdrivers into release slots (4) in the screw drive assembly and press inward against cable sleeve. This will release the retaining tabs (1) on the cables allowing them to be pulled out of the screw drive assemblies (5).

- Remove the roll pin (2) at the bottom of the decklid linkage assembly holding the lower end of the screw drive (1).

- Remove the C-clip (2) from the top or pivot of the screw drive rod.
- Slide the screw drive rod out of the linkage bracket (1).
