Down Capture Assembly

  1. Remove the front and mid/rear panel headliners. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL  - CONVERTIBLE TOP, CONVERTIBLE SOFT TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS or HEADLINER, REMOVAL  - CONVERTIBLE TOP, RETRACTABLE HARD TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS.
  2. Remove the front folding top panel from the vehicle. Refer to TOP, FOLDING, REAR PANEL, REMOVAL  - CONVERTIBLE TOP, CONVERTIBLE SOFT TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS or TOP, FOLDING, REMOVAL  - CONVERTIBLE TOP, RETRACTABLE HARD TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS.
  3. With a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the placement of the down capture assembly to aid in assembly.
  4. Disconnect the front and rear linkage (4) rods from the down capture assembly.
  5. Disconnect the cable (2) from the assembly.
  6. Remove the mounting fasteners and remove the down capture assembly from the convertible top.
