Sensor, Axle: Removal: Front

- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Locate the front axle sensor (4) within the right front fender wheel house.
- Disconnect the underbody wire harness connector (5) from the sensor connector receptacle.
- Carefully unsnap the upper end of the front axle sensor link from the ball stud (2) on the forward-facing side of the front suspension upper control arm (1).
- Loosen the two nut (6) that secures the sensor mounting bracket to the keyed hole in the inner wheel house sheet metal.
- Lift the sensor and bracket upward far enough to disengage the head of the fastener from the keyed hole.
- Remove the front axle sensor, bracket and link from the vehicle as a unit.
