Theory Of Operation

The purpose of the monitoring is to detect circuit failures of the Output Speed Sensor (OSS). This monitoring is done by an ASIC which communicates with the main microprocessor via a Serial Port Interface (SPI) BUS. The ASIC is integrated in the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
