Diagnostic Test
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- ACTIVE DTC
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With the scan tool, select View DTCs.
Is the DTC Active at this time?
Yes
- Go To 2.
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- ASD CONTROL OPERATION FROM THE PCM
- Turn the ignition off.
- With a 12-volt test light connected to battery voltage, back probe the (K51) ASD Control circuit in the PDC harness connector.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- Using the scan tool in the PCM, actuate the ASD.
Does the test light illuminate brightly and flash on an off?
Yes
- If OK, replace the PDC in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
NOTE:Before continuing, check the PDC harness terminals for corrosion, damage or terminal push out. Repair as necessary.
No
- Go To 3.
- (K51) ASD CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
- Stop the ASD actuation.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
