1. PAD, Folding Top Insulator 7. SCREW
2. RETAINER 8. WEATHERSTRIP
3. BOW, Folding Top, Number 2 9. PANEL, Folding Top Trim
4. BOW, Folding Top, Number 3 10. SCREW
5. RETAINERS, Weatherstrip 11. SHIM
6. SHIM 12. HEADER, Folding Top
  1. Remove the headliner back to the # 2 bow (3) and allow to hang. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL  - CONVERTIBLE TOP, CONVERTIBLE SOFT TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS and HEADLINER, REMOVAL  - CONVERTIBLE TOP, RETRACTABLE HARD TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS.
  2. Remove top cover back to the listing flaps at the # 3 bow (4). Refer to COVER, FOLDING TOP, REMOVAL .
  3. Close the top, do not latch to header.
  4. Remove the insulator pad (1) forward retainer.
  5. Note size and location of the of the forward side rail shims (11).
  6. Remove the forward rail weatherstrips (8) and retainers (10).
  7. Remove the forward retainer mounting fasteners (10) and remove the forward weatherstrip retainers (5).
  8. Remove the four header casting mounting bolts, two on each side, from the side rail assemblies.
  9. Remove the header casting (12) from the vehicle.
  10. Transfer latch plates to new header casting.
