  1. Remove the front and mid/rear headliners as necessary. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL  - CONVERTIBLE TOP, CONVERTIBLE SOFT TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS and HEADLINER, REMOVAL  - CONVERTIBLE TOP, RETRACTABLE HARD TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS.
  2. Disengage the lower metal retainer (2) from the side rail and remove the strap (3) from the cable (4).
  3. By squeezing the front retainers (5), disengage the front of the hinge cover (1) from the side rail.
  4. Remove the hinge cover from the side rail.
