Front Crankshaft Oil Seal - Removal

REMOVAL - FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL

Special Tools:










1. Remove the accessory drive belt and the crankshaft vibration damper Vibration Damper - Removal.
2. Install the sleeve (2) from Seal Remover 8511 around the flywheel key (1) and onto the nose of the crankshaft.





3. Screw Seal Remover 8511 (1) into the front crankshaft oil seal (2).





4. Install the extractor screw (2) into the Seal Remover 8511 (1). Hold the seal remover stationary and tighten the extractor screw against the sleeve until the front crankshaft oil seal (3) is removed from the engine timing cover.
