B25AA-00-FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE SENSE

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information .

NOTE: Before proceeding, check the handle for any foreign material, or binding that could cause a sticking situation to the handle or switch.

- When Monitored:
During a Passive Entry Event.

- Set Condition:
When the RF Hub module senses a door handle hall sensor or lock switch failure. A continuous activation for over two (2) minutes. To retry to set the code, it may take over four (4) minutes.





1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION

NOTE: If there are any other RF Hub DTCs, perform the diagnostic procedure for them before proceeding.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Open the Passenger Front Door Window.
4. Turn the ignition off and close all doors.
5. Have the FOBIK outside the car and within 6 feet from the handle.
6. Lock and Unlock the Passenger Front Door by the outside handle four times.
7. Open the Passenger Front Door by pulling the handle.
8. Turn the ignition on.
9. Using the scan tool, read the Active DTCs and wait four minutes.

Does the scan tool display: B25AA-00-FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE SENSE as active?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Go To 2

2. DOOR HANDLE

In the previous step, did the Door Handle lock and unlock the door as it should?

Yes

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Go To 3

3. DOOR HANDLE OR RF HUB
1. Go to the Driver Door.
2. Open the Driver window.
3. Turn the ignition off and close all doors.
4. Have the FOBIK outside the car and within six (6) feet of the handle.
5. Lock and Unlock the Driver Door by the outside handle four times.
6. Open the Driver Door by pulling the handle.

Did the Driver Door Handle lock and unlock the door as it should?

Yes

- Replace the Passenger Exterior Door Handle. Front Exterior Handle - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST.Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the RF HUB Module. Radio Frequency Module (RF Hub) - Removal.
- NOTE: If this vehicle is equipped with a Steering Column Lock Module (Export), it MUST be replaced also.

- Replace the Steering Column Lock Module. Shaft Lock Module - Removal.
- Perform the RADIO FREQUENCY HUB VERIFICATION TEST. RF Hub Verification Test.
