Diagnostic Test

ACTIVE DTC
NOTE:
Diagnose all CAN B and C communication DTCs before continuing.
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With a scan tool, view DTCs.
  Is the DTC Active at this time?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the INTERMITTENT DTC diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
VSIM COMMUNICATION RELATED DTCs IN OTHER MODULES
1. With the scan tool, select Network Diagnostics.
  Is there more than one module with active DTCs "Logged Against" the VSIM at this time?
  
  Yes
  - Replace and program the Vehicle System Interface Module (VSIM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, VEHICLE SYSTEM INTERFACE .
  - Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL . Refer to PCM/ECM REPROGRAMMING - GAS .
  - Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
