The 68RFE transmission does not use a number 7 thrust bearing.

NOTE:
The number 11 thrust bearing is captured under the input planetary carrier pinion gears and is not serviceable.

NOTE:
Clean and inspect all components. Replace any components which show evidence of excessive wear or scoring.
- Install the input sun gear (5) into the input planetary carrier (7).
- Install the number 10 thrust bearing (4) onto the input sun gear (5) with the inner race toward the gear.
- Install the number nine thrust bearing (2) onto the face of the reverse planetary carrier (3) with the inner race toward the carrier and the tabs facing upward.
- Install the reverse planetary gear carrier (3) into the input planetary carrier (7).
- Install the input annulus gear (8) onto the input planetary carrier (7).
- Install the snap-ring (1) to hold the input annulus gear (8) into the input carrier (7).
