Center Floor Console

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Perform the center floor console removal procedure. The floor console does need to be completely removed from its installation points and at least pushed back far enough to access the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) and LF antenna. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, LID, REMOVAL and CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL .
  3. The LF antenna (2) is attached to the ORC bracket (4). The controller (5), cover, and bracket all need to be removed to gain access to the mounting screws of the LF antenna. (Refer to CONTROLLER, OCCUPANT RESTRAINT, REMOVAL ).

  4. With the ORC module bracket removed, you can now access the two screws (1) that secure the LF antenna to that bracket.
  5. Remove the two screws that secure the LF antenna to the ORC bracket.
  6. Remove the LF antenna.
