Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read MSMD DTCs.
Is the DTC active?

Yes
- Perform the diagnostic test procedure for CAN INTERIOR BUS. Refer to the BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 2500 HD & 3500 HD article .
No
- Perform the STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCs diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
