The Final Drive Control Module (FDCM) (1) is a microcontroller-based assembly controlling the front and rear axle lockers and the sway bar disconnect. Communication is via the CAN serial bus. User selectable inputs include differential locker switch and front sway bar disconnect switch.

The FDCM /front sway bar disconnect actuator (1) has one electrical wire harness connector and is installed on the front sway bar disconnecting unit (3).

The FDCM provides on-board diagnostics and a scan tool can be used to obtain an active or stored Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). If DTCs are present. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
