Muffler, Exhaust: Installation: 5.7L

- Install the muffler onto hanger isolators (1, 2).
- Install the muffler to the exhaust extension pipe and tighten band clamp nuts (1) to the proper. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the tailpipe. Refer to TAILPIPE, EXHAUST, INSTALLATION .
- Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. A minimum of 25 mm (1.0 in.) is required between the exhaust system components and body/frame parts. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
- Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
