Diagnostic Test

When Monitored:
- Ignition on, engine running.
- Pressure Switch 8 is Open.
Set Condition:
- When the Transmission Control Module (TCM) detects all of the Shift Lever positions registering "OPEN" for the period of two seconds.

Always perform the AS68RC Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Refer to Standard Procedure .
- CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS NOTE:
This DTC is supplemental and requires no diagnostic troubleshooting. Typically, if this code is set without P0706, P0707, or P0708 it is caused by the column shifter placement between gate stop positions, positioning the gear range indicator switch between gear positions for more than 2 seconds. Only diagnose the range sensor as instructed in P0706, P0707, or P0708 if they are present.
Are there any other TRS DTCs set?
Yes
- and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to Diagnosis and Testing .
No
- Clear DTC.
- Perform AS68RC VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to Standard Procedure .
