Manifold, Intake: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate both negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the EGR crossover tube. Refer to TUBE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR), CROSSOVER, REMOVAL .

  3. Detach the wire harness retainers (1) from the shield.

  4. Remove nut (1) and bolt (3) and the EGR control valve shield (2).

  5. Loosen clamps (1) and remove the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose (3) from the EGR air flow control valve.
  6. Disconnect EGR air flow control valve wire harness connector (2).

  7. Disconnect the EGR valve wire harness connector (1).

  8. Remove bolt and nut securing oil dipstick tube.
  9. Remove bolts (1) and the intake manifold (2).
