Cooler And Lines, Oil: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate both of the negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the oil dipstick (2).
  3. Remove bolts (1) and the engine cover (3).
  4. Drain the coolant. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  5. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL, 6.7L .

  6. Disconnect the breather hose (3).
  7. Loosen the clamp (1) and remove the outlet tube (2) from the turbocharger.
  8. Remove the generator. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVAL .

  9. Loosen clamp and disconnect the charge air inlet tube (4) from the turbocharger.

  10. Loosen the clamp (2), disconnect the charge inlet tube (3) from Charge Air Cooler (CAC) (1) and remove charge inlet tube (3).

  11. Remove the banjo bolt (1) securing coolant hose (2).
  12. Remove bolt (4) and the upper coolant outlet tube (3) from EGR cooler.

  13. Remove bolt (2) and the lower coolant outlet tube (1).

  14. Remove the turbocharger oil supply line from oil cooler housing.

  15. Disconnect the oil pressure switch wire harness connector (1).

  16. Remove the oil filter (1). Refer to FILTER, ENGINE OIL, REMOVAL, 6.7L .
  17. Remove 14 bolts and the oil cooler housing (2) and oil cooler (3) from engine block.
