68 RFE Automatic

NOTE:

4X4 Models.

CAUTION:

If replacing a engine mount/bracket, be certain to inspect all other engine mounts/brackets in the system. Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to the vehicle.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Position the transmission jack in place.
  3. Remove nuts securing the transmission mount to crossmember.
  4. Raise the transmission.
  5. Remove the bolts (1) and the rear transmission mount (2).

    NOTE:

    4X2 Regular Cab Models.

    CAUTION:

    If replacing a engine mount/bracket, be certain to inspect all other engine mounts/brackets in the system. Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to the vehicle.

  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  7. Position the transmission jack in place.
  8. Remove nuts securing the transmission mount to crossmember.
  9. Raise the transmission.
  10. Remove the bolts (1) and the rear transmission mount (2).
