Right Side

  1. Disconnect and isolate both of the both negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the engine oil dipstick (2).
  3. Remove bolts (1) and the engine cover (3).
  4. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL, 6.7L .
  5. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly.
  6. Remove the right front wheel house splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .
  7. If equipped, remove the left side generator and mounting bracket. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVAL .

  8. Install the Engine Lifting Bracket (1) (special tool #10474, Brackets, Engine Lifting) and securely tighten bolts (2).
  9. Install Engine Support Fixture tool (special tool #8534B, Fixture, Driveline Support).
  10. Raise and support the vehicle.

  11. Loosen both engine mount thru-bolt and nut (1).
  12. Remove support and lower the vehicle.
  13. Lift the engine SLIGHTLY  and remove the left side thru-bolt and nut (1).
  14. Partially raise and support the vehicle.
  15. Remove the bolts securing the transmission cooler lines to the frame.
  16. Detach the NOx sensor and turbocharger speed sensor wire harness retainer.

  17. Going through the wheel well, remove bolts (1) and the left engine mount (2).
