Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR BCM CAN BUS DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
  Are any BCM CAN BUS DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Repair BCM CAN bus DTCs in accordance with the Service Information. If DTC U0002-CAN C BUS is set, perform that diagnostic first. Refer to the BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 1500 article .
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 2
DRIVETRAIN CONTROL MODULE (DTCM) DTCS PRESENT
1. With the scan tool, read Drivetrain Control Module (DTCM) DTCs.
  Are any DTCM DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Repair DTCM DTC(s) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
  No
  - Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module Assembly (TCMA) terminals for corrosion, damage, and pushed out terminals. Pay particular attention to the power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCMA in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL . Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL, MODULE PROGRAMMING .
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
