Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
If there are any Fuel Quantity, Fuel Rail Pressure, EGR, or Intake Air related DTCs, perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With the scan tool check for active DTCs.
Is this DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT DTC .
- CHECKING FOR A LEAKING FUEL INJECTOR NOTE:
Performing the (scan tool) Injector Quantity Correction test will isolate a leaking Injector.
- Perform the CHECKING THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

Do any Injectors indicate a problem?
Yes
- Replace the Fuel Injector in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- Perform the CHECKING THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

- CHECK THE INTAKE AIR SYSTEM
- Perform the INTAKE AIR SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

Were any Intake Air System problems found?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate repairs to the Intake Air System.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
- Perform the INTAKE AIR SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING
