Heater, Transmission: Removal: Removal

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the propeller shaft.

  3. Remove the bolt (2) from the left side transmission cooler line bracket.

  4. Remove the upper transmission cooler line (1) bracket bolt (2).

  5. Remove the lower transmission cooler line (2) bracket bolt (1).

  6. Disconnect coolant lines (2) from the heater.
  7. Disconnect the transmission lines (1) from the heater using (special tool #9546, Disconnect Tool).

  8. Remove three bolts (1) from the transmission heater.
  9. Separate the heater from the transmission case, being careful not to damage the heater seals.
