Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Turn the Park Lamps on.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
CHECK THE LEFT FRONT LAMP ASSEMBLY FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Front Lamp Assembly harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Turn the Park Lamps on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 3
  No
  - Replace the Left Front Lamp Assembly in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to UNIT, FRONT LAMP, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
CHECK THE LEFT FRONT SIDE MARKER LAMP FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Front Side Marker Lamp harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Turn the Park Lamps on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display DTC: B16BF-15-FRONT LEFT SIDEMARKER LAMP CONTROL- CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY OR OPEN?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Left Front Side Marker Lamp in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to LAMP, SIDE MARKER, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK THE (L777) LEFT FRONT PARK LAMP DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the BCM A harness connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (L777) Left Front Park Lamp Driver circuit.
  Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Repair the short to ground in the (L777) Left Front Park Lamp Driver circuit.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
