Valve, Short Runner: Removal: 5.7L

Disconnect the negative battery cable (1).

Remove the intake manifold and throttle body as an assembly. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, GAS, REMOVAL, 5.7L or MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL, 6.4L .

Remove the short runner valve actuator retaining bolts (1) and remove valve.

Remove and discard the short runner valve actuator rubber O-ring seal (1).
