Tube, Fuel Tank Filler: Removal: Removal

  1. Using a flat blade screwdriver, remove the cap less fuel filler locking tab cover (1) by prying the cover upwards and away from the support plate.

  2. Remove the support plate (2).
    NOTE:

    Illustration shown without the filler tube, to show the tab locations.

  3. Insert two pocket screw drivers (2) in the side guide slots.
  4. Push down on the locking tabs (1) enough to clear the upper lockout housing.

  5. Twist the outer Lockout housing (1) counter clockwise and remove from the filler tube (3).
  6. Raise the vehicle.

  7. Remove the ground wire (5).
  8. Remove the filler neck (3) to filler support bracket bolt (4).

  9. Loosen the fuel filler tube hose clamp (2) at the fuel tank hose (3).
  10. Disconnect the fuel breather tube (6) from the fuel tank pressure sensor (4).
  11. Remove the filler tube from the vehicle.
