Tube, Fuel Tank Filler: Installation: Installation

  1. Install the fuel filler tube and securely tighten screws.

  2. Install the DEF cap.

  3. Connect the fuel vapor hose (2) to tank fitting (1).

  4. Install the ground wire (5) to frame rail and securely tighten nut (6).
  5. Connect the diesel fuel vent tube (2). Tighten the hose clamp (1) to 3 N.m (30 in. lbs.).
  6. Connect the diesel fuel fill tube (3). Tighten the hose clamp (4) to 3 N.m (30 in. lbs.).
  7. Install the left rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, INSTALLATION .
  8. Raise the vehicle.

  9. Connect the DEF vent hose to filler neck tube (1).
  10. Connect the DEF filler hose to filler neck tube (2).
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Connect the negative battery cable.
  13. Start the vehicle and check for leaks.
