2500 - 5500 Heavy Duty

  1. Install the bumper brackets (2) onto the frame tips (1).

  2. Install the bolt assemblies (1).

  3. Install the bumper bracket support nuts (1).

  4. If equipped, install the tow hooks (3) and install the bolts (2) and nuts (1).
  5. Tighten the nuts to 275 N.m (203 ft. lbs.).

  6. Install the two brackets (2) and the bracket bolts (1).
  7. Tighten the bolts (1) to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).

  8. Install the two upper charge air cooler bolts (1).

  9. Install the rear shroud (2) and install the four fasteners (1).

  10. Install the front shroud (1) and install the four fasteners (2).

  11. Install the push pin fasteners (1, 2).

  12. Position the bumper onto the frame tip brackets and install the eight nuts (2).
  13. Connect the electrical connectors (1), if equipped.

  14. Tighten the eight bumper nuts using the sequence shown in the illustration to 95 N.m (70 ft. lbs.).

  15. Check and adjust the bumper alignment as necessary. Refer to GAP AND FLUSH, SPECIFICATIONS .
  16. Tighten the nuts (1) to 95 N.m (70 ft. lbs.).
  17. Install the grille. Refer to GRILLE, INSTALLATION .
