Belt, Serpentine: Installation: 6.4L

NOTE:

When installing accessory drive belt onto pulleys, make sure that belt is properly routed and all V-grooves make proper contact with pulleys.

  1. Position the accessory drive belt (4) over all pulleys (1, 2, 3, 5, 6) except for the water pump pulley (8).
  2. Rotate the tensioner (7) clockwise  and slip the belt over the water pump pulley (8).
    CAUTION:

    Do not let the tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.

  3. Gently release the tensioner (7).

  4. If removed, install the secondary belt (3).
