WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 RAM 3500 HD and 2014 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
A false low pressure warning can take place if the Tire Pressure Monitoring system fails localization. This will result in the system defaulting to the value of 80 psi for all TPM sensor locations. Perform the TPM Diagnostic Verification Test standard procedure to correct for this condition.
When diagnosing a tire pressure issue, first check the Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) indicator lamp in the instrument cluster during ignition key ON. From the OFF position, turn the key to ON and check the TPM indicator lamp to observe one of the following:
- If after 10 seconds the indicator lamp is illuminating continuously (not flashing), refer to LOW PRESSURE .
- If after 10 seconds the indicator lamp flashes on/off for 75 seconds, then remains on solid, there is a system fault detected. Refer to SYSTEM FAULT .
