Installation - Diesel Engine

  1. Position the power steering pump in the vehicle.
  2. Align the power steering pump with the mounting holes on the rear bracket. Install the three power steering pump mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to the proper specifications.
  3. Connect the pressure line (2) to the pump with new washers. Tighten the pressure line to the proper specifications. Refer to PUMP, SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Connect the return hose (1) to the pump. Tighten the return hose to the proper specifications. Refer to PUMP, SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the left inner wheel well liner.
  7. Fill the power steering pump. Refer to PUMP, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
