RH - With Drag Link To Knuckle

CAUTION:
Verify that equal number of thread engagement exists on both ends of adjuster sleeve and that the adjuster sleeve clamps cover the threaded ends.
CAUTION:
Verify that all adjuster sleeve clamp fasteners are tightened to specifications when replacing a tie rod end. Failure to do so will result in premature breakage of the tie rod end or possible loss of steering.
NOTE:
Prior to installing tapered end suspension components, clean male and female surfaces with brake clean.
- Install the tie rod (12) into the adjuster sleeve (8).
- Install the tie rod (4) to the knuckle (5).
- Install the nut (2) and tighten to specifications. Refer to LINKAGE, LINK AND COIL, SPECIFICATIONS .NOTE:
Line up cotter pin hole with castellation by turning nut in the tightening direction. (Cotter pin hole on the stud must be at least 50 percent within the nut castellation).
- Install the cotter pin (1).
- Install the wheel. Refer to WHEELS, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the supports and lower the vehicle to the surface. Center the steering wheel and adjust the toe. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE
.NOTE:
Position the clamp on the sleeve so retaining bolt is located on the bottom side of the sleeve.
- After adjustment tighten tie rod adjustment sleeve clamp bolt (11) to specifications. Refer to LINKAGE, LINK AND COIL, SPECIFICATIONS .
