Diagnostic Test

VERIFY DTC IS ACTIVE

Turn the Ignition on.
With the scan tool, read active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes
- Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the NO RESPONSE FROM ESM (ELECTRONIC SHIFT MODULE) diagnostic procedure.
No
- Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCS diagnostic procedure.
