Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
Diagnose any Communication DTCs before continuing.
- Ignition on
- With the scan tool, select View DTCs.
Is the DTC Active or Pending at this time?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- LIN BUS OR CAN BUS DTCS SET IN THE BODY CONTROL MODULE
Are there any LIN Bus or CAN Bus DTCs set in the Body Control Module?
Yes
- Diagnose the appropriate DTC in the Body Control module before continuing. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 1500 .
No
- Go To 3
- CHECK THE (D401) LIN BUS CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Switch Bank Module harness connector.
- Disconnect the Body Control Module (BCM) C7/G harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (D401) LIN Bus circuit between the Switch Bank Module harness connector and the BCM C7/G harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Switch Bank in accordance with the service information. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Repair the (D401) LIN Bus circuit for an open or high resistance.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
