Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
If there are any Reductant Temperature DTCs present, perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.
NOTE:If there are any other Fuel Temperature Sensor DTCs present, perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record all Freeze frame data.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for 75 seconds.
- Start the engine. It may be necessary to test drive the vehicle.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the DTC reset?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT DTC .
- CHECK THE FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Fuel Temperature Sensor harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- While monitoring the scan tool, connect a jumper between the (K159) Sensor Return circuit and the (K156) Fuel Temperature Signal circuit at the Fuel Temperature Sensor harness connector.
Did the P0182 DTC set?
Yes
- Replace the Fuel Temperature Sensor in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the service information. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
