Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
If DTCs P0001, P0003, or P0004 are present, perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.
NOTE:If there are any Fuel Injector, APP Sensor, FRP Sensor, or VSS Sensor DTCs present, perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record all Freeze frame data.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for 75 seconds.
- Start the engine and run for 5 minutes.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did DTC P054E reset?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT DTC .
- CHECK THE INJECTORS AND FUEL INJECTOR SUPPLY
- With the scan tool, perform the Injector Kill System test to identify the suspect injector.
Do any Injectors indicate a problem?
Yes
- Replace the damaged or obstructed Fuel Injector in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, perform the Injector Kill System test to identify the suspect injector.
