Required Maintenance Intervals

Perform Maintenance Every Maintenance Items
(Where time and mileage are listed, follow the interval that occurs first.)

  • Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
  • Rotate tires.
  • Lube front drive shaft fitting (4x4 only).
  • Lubricate outer tie rod ends.

  • Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
  • Rotate tires.
  • If using your vehicle for any of the following: Dusty or off-road conditions. Inspect the engine air cleaner filter, replace if necessary.
  • Inspect the brake linings, replace if necessary.
  • Lube front drive shaft fitting (4x4 only).
  • Lubricate outer tie rod ends.
  • Inspect the front suspension, tie rod ends, and boot seals, replace if necessary.
  • Inspect the CV joints. Perform the first inspection at 12,000 miles (20 000 km) or 12 months.
  • Inspect exhaust system. Perform the first inspection at 12,000 miles (20 000 km) or 12 months.

  • Lube front drive shaft fitting (4x4 only).
  • Lubricate outer tie rod ends.

  • Change the automatic transmission fluid & filter(s) if using your vehicle for any of the following: fleet, snow plowing, or frequent trailer towing.
  • Inspect the transfer case fluid, add if necessary.
  • Flush and replace the engine coolant at 60 months if not done at 102,000 miles (170 000 km).

  • Change the automatic transmission fluid & filter(s).
  • Replace accessory drive belt(s).
