Standard Procedure: Engage

Pull the tether (1) outward and push the lock tab to the right with a small screwdriver to release the lever.

Allow the MPR (Mechanical Park Release) lever (1) to seat into position.
Gently pull out on the lever to verify that it is locked in position.

Install the MPR cover (1).
