Injector, Diesel Exhaust Fluid: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Disconnect the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injector wire harness connector (3).
  4. Disconnect the DEF fluid supply line (2).
  5. Saturate the DEF injector bolt with Mopar® Rust Penetrant. Allow five minutes for penetration.
  6. Loosen clamp bolt (1) and remove the DEF injector from the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst.

  7. Remove and discard the DEF dosing injector gasket (1).
