Exhaust Temperature Sensor 1/1

CAUTION:

The exhaust gas temperature sensor requires care when handling and installing. The exhaust gas temperature sensor is sensitive to knocks and bending. For this reason if the exhaust gas temperature sensor has been dropped, it must not be installed as damage to the sensor may have occurred. Do not remove from packaging until ready to install. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the exhaust gas temperature sensor.

  1. Install the exhaust temperature sensor (7) and tighten to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).

  2. Using a new gaskets, install the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) inlet elbow. Tighten nuts to 32 N.m (24 ft. lbs.).
  3. Tighten the DPF V-band clamp to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).

  4. Connect the upstream exhaust temperature sensor wire harness connector (2).
  5. Connect the oxygen sensor wire harness connector (1).
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
