Sensor, Differential Pressure: Installation: Installation

  1. If removed, install Differential Pressure Sensor tubing (6) into diesel particulate filter (4). Tighten fittings to 20 N.m (177 in. lbs.).

  2. Connect the differential pressure sensor hoses (1).

  3. Install the differential pressure sensor and bracket assembly (5). Tighten bolt (3) to 21 N.m (15 ft. lbs.).
    NOTE:

    Before installing, inspect both pressure hoses and make sure there is not any dip across the hoses. In cases where water is frozen, a dip across the hoses can cause condensation which can set a MIL.

  4. Connect the differential pressure sensor harness connector (2).
  5. Attach the exhaust temperature sensors wire harness connectors (4, 6) and wire harness retainer (1) to bracket (5).
  6. Install the transmission skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, INSTALLATION .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
