Catalyst, Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR): Installation: Installation

- Clean all gasket sealing surfaces.
- Install new Selective Catalytic Reduction Catalyst (SCR) flange gasket.
- Position the SCR (2) onto flange and install flange nuts (1) finger tighten.
- Install the isolator (2) onto the SCR hanger rods. Tighten bolts (1) 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the SCR flange nuts (1) to 32 N.m (24 ft. lbs.).
- Install the muffler assembly. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, INSTALLATION .
- Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. A minimum of 25 mm (1.0 in.) is required between the exhaust system components and body/frame parts. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
- Install the soot sensor (1). Tighten sensor to 55 N.m (41 ft. lbs.).
- Install the NOx sensor 1/2 (1). Tighten sensor to 60 N.m (44 ft. lbs.).
- Install the soot module (1). Tighten nuts (3) to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
- Connect the soot sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Install the NOx sensor 1/2 module (6). Tighten nuts (5) to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
- Connect the NOx sensor wire harness connector (4).
- Connect the DEF fluid supply line (1) quick connect fitting.
- Connect the DEF injector wire harness connector (2).
- Connect the exhaust temperature sensors wire harness connector (2).
- If equipped, install skid plates.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Using a scan tool, perform RESET REGENERATIVE FILTER TIMERS function found under ENGINE MISC. FUNCTIONS.
